Jeffery E’s comment the other day has me pretty worried:
Martha, I've been mailing (via AMC) an additional 500-pieces each month since March. My daughter joined under me in March and she has been mailing (also via AMC) an additional 250-pieces each month. As of June 5th, neither of us have received had any sign-ups or leads generated as a result of our mailings. I wish to say this wasn't true, but we're beginning to have second thoughts. Hopefully, we'll see some light at the end of the tunnel soon.
I found some advice from Advanced Marketing Concepts that came in an email from their Roswell, GA office to (I assume) all their members at some point in 2013. Here’s part of it:
ASK FOR HELP!! We offer a 120-day review to all you who are working the system and are utilizing our mail service for your monthly leads. 120-day reviews are given to those who are serious about their business and have worked the system, turned in a Budget Commitment Form, followed up with their prospects, gone to their upline for contributions every month, contributed to their downline, and have followed all the suggestions and methods AMC and the staff have advised them to do to grow your business. All within the budget you can afford! (Remember, if you go to you upline and they don’t come through with enough money to fit your budget, all you have to do is throw everything away, and go back to them next month. You are not obligated to place the order if you can’t afford to. But you definitely need to call if you this continues to happen.) Don’t forget, Bob and Jayne Guzzetti have been there! They have been there!!! Bob, Jayne and the staff at AMC stand by the proven Upline System and have seen it work over and over again. So, if you’re doing everything possible to grow your business and have followed our methods, yet “lady luck” seems to be M.I.A., Jayne Guzzetti will do a full review of your business personally. She’s been in your shoes! And because she believes so strongly in her proven system, she’s willing to give additional help to your business and give it a “PUSH” until it can stand on its own. Whatever it takes! What other company do you know that will stand behind its system so strongly and stands by its members so strongly as well?
My response to Jeffery was to give AMC a call and see what they suggest doing. And ask for help. Here’s something new though: there’s a “Budget Commitment Form” mentioned in this paragraph that wasn’t anywhere in the informational booklet, wasn’t in my packet, and isn’t available on the amc-now.com website. So… what if we want a review? (By the way: the 90-day review has been done away with because 3 months just wasn’t enough time to get enough mailings out in order to review the results, so if you read in the book “IT’S YOUR TURN!” at amc-usa.info, ID# 223271, you will see an explanation of a 90-day review but it’s been changed.) I do know AMC needs to see what you’ve been doing, how many extra mailings you’ve been doing, etc.; I don’t know if they’d turn you down for a review if you haven’t had a “Budget Commitment Form” on file for 120 days, if you are a newbie and hadn’t had any correspondence regarding that form. But then, AMC is supposedly sending out emails to all their members on a frequent basis; I haven’t gotten any because I started in early May and they said I’d start to get them in June. Oh, it’s JUNE NOW! Seems like an account with Constant Contact could take care of that…
I can’t decide if AMC is SO old-fashioned because Bob and Jayne just don’t understand what is available to them with web-based business products (like getting people on the email list IMMEDIATELY – how hard is that?), or if they know full well what’s out there and don’t want what’s available for some reason. They’re too cheap? They can’t afford it? They want to micro-manage everything? They have legal advice that it makes them too liable to lawsuits? I don’t know. I know I’m confused and I sincerely hope I don’t have to wait four months to get even ONE single person in my downline. That would make for a very boring blog.

ReplyDeleteMartha, I posted my comment not to alarm you, but to share my experience. My daughter and I are strictly following AMC's guidance, to include timely submission of our Budget Commitment Forms. I submitted mine initially in March and then a revision (increasing my personal commitment (excluding any upline assistance) to a minimum of $326 per month) in April. I plan to request my 120-day review for July or August. It would not be an exaggeration for me to say that my daughter and I together have spend in excess of $2500 to date on our mailings with no tangible results. I have sent two emails to AMC over the last two weeks requesting confirmation that no leads were received as a result of my mailings and I have not received a reply. I'm not being negative, just becoming very concerned.
ReplyDeleteI'm unsure in you received Jayne's email dated June 3rd, so here it is (I especially like her comment on the upcoming postcard test):

Subject: AN UPDATE FROM JAYNE GUZZETTI OF AMC, INC.
Dear AMC Members,
First of all, let me begin by apologizing for the delays that happened in May with monthly leads and checks. We are having new software installed plus updating other software and that's what's caused the delays. I am sincerely sorry for this, but be assured within a matter of weeks, all will be much better and back on track!
All leads for May have been sent. And checks will be going out over the next several days. Let me remind you, though, if you did not pay in May because you felt something was wrong here, you need to pay immediately or you will not get a check and you may be cancelled.
We have many new things in the works, which includes many new and exciting health products. And we're going to test some postcards soon because of the ever-increasing cost of postage. If any of you have received postcards you really like, please send them to us.
Again, I am sincerely sorry for the delays and will be keeping you updated.
Thank you in advance for you understanding.
Sincerely,
Jayne Guzzetti, Owner of AMC, Inc.
Thanks very much Jeffery! I choose to remain optomistic for now. Let me know how the review goes if you don't mind. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMartha, This is a follow-up to my previous comment. Referencing the email below, I received a reply today and it appears that AMC is going to take action to improve my return rate (0% leads or signups). I plan to do another 550-piece mailing this month and keep my fingers crossed.

I received a 0% Return Rate (no leads or signups) on my April & May mailings (1100-pieces all total). I wasn't expecting such poor performance. Do you have any idea what the problem is? Please advise. Thanks, Jeff Estes
